Course Leader message

Congratulations and welcome to the BA (Hons) Business Economics and BSc (Hons) Economics courses.

On behalf of the Economics team, I would like to thank you for choosing to study Economics at Sheffield Hallam University, where you will be joining a vibrant collection of academics, administrative staff and students. 

Economics integrates a wide range of topics from consumer choices to firm decisions, from the study of world economies to the impact of public policies. Our goal is to teach you economic insights by challenging your way of thinking, and to ensure your overall student experience is fruitful, stimulating and successful. However, it is vital that you find a healthy balance between focusing on your studies and enjoying the sporting and cultural opportunities that our university offers.

I am certain that you will enjoy your time here, and settle quickly into university life. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all.
